Position: Senior Engineering Technician and Pilot Production Lead

Job Description:
Pavilion Integration is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician and Pilot Production Lead to help the company organize and lead small scale pilot production shipping, engineering quick prototyping build and testing. The position also requires preparation of new product BOMs and build instruction documents, small scale material planning, production planning, inventory management, and working as a lead technician on the production floor. The ideal candidate will also have experience supporting product transfers to China.
Position responsibilities and qualifications:
- Work with engineers to build prototype units and demo units for customers
- Able to create BOM, WIP, and build instructions with engineering assistance
- Planning small scale product builds
- Managing material inventory to support small scale product build schedules
- Finished product final test sheet preparation and shipping
- Keep IQC data from suppliers and product shipping series number log file
- Assisting with product transfer to China manufacturing facility
- Hand in and able to supervise operator on optical components cleaning, mechanical parts assembly, electronic assemblies such as soldering SMT and thru-hole components.
- Optical parts income testing, laser module alignment and testing, laser burn-in testing
- Ability to work with a microscope and optical testing instruments (power meter, beam alignment, etc.)
- Performing other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- AS degree in related field and 5+ year experience working in photonics industry.
- Basic computer skills and familiar with internet and web based tools.
- Fluent with MS Word and Excel. Knowing Quickbook would be a plus.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese including reading and writing.
