New Products For Biomedical and Sensing Applications at SPIE BiOS/Photonics West 2025

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

San Jose, California –    Pavilion Integration Corporation (PIC), a leading supplier of photonic modules and sub-system solutions for biophotonic and industrial sensing markets, will exhibit at the BiOS/Photonics West trade show in San Francisco, California, January 25 – 30, 2025, booths#8367/3367.

PIC will introduce several new products for the biomedical & sensing industry designed for drop-in OEM integration:

  • PIC WhisperIT PICel® quantum well membrane technology Green/Yellow series at Green 532nm, 544nm, Yellow-green 553nm, 561nm, and Yellow 577nm, 580nm, 588nm, 593nm laser modules
  • PIC WhisperIT Comet® series high sensitivity Solid-State SiPM and APD based detector modules and detector arrays with ultra-low noise and high sensitivity over extended red shift region replacing PMT modules and PMT arrays.
  • PIC WhisperIT Lapis® high power multi-mode, multi-laser engines are ideal illumination sources for spatial genomics field and super-resolution and light sheet microscopy
  • PIC WhisperIT Lapis® single-mode multi-laser engines are widely used for ophthalmology diagnostics, bioassay readers, flow cytometers, confocal microscopy instruments.
  • PIC WhisperIT BASOE® (Biophotonics Application Specific-Optic Engine) Optical Plate, Optical Engine, or Optical Decks with integrated lasers, FCS/SSC and FL detectors for a pre-aligned, drop-in solution.

PIC complete biophotonics solutions is available through our unique ODM > OEM < CM business model enables our customers and partners to gain fast time to market and the product success in market with the reduced cost, with robustness and consistency.  This is achieved while maintaining the required regulatory documentation from PIC expanded joint design support in the early design and joint manufacturing in optical assembly contract manufacturing services in the ISO 9001/13485 and support for GMP manufacturing facilities.

PIC’s WhisperIT® lasers utilize the company patented technology that guarantees the laser output with mode-hop free, low noise, low speckle, superior stable output power operation, and back reflection protection, under all operating conditions, while provides the custom-specific beam shape and beam delivery, at a substantially reduced cost, consistency, compact footprint, and dramatically reduced power consumption compared to conventional gas and DPSS lasers.

WhisperIT® PICel® Green, Yellow-Green, and Yellow lasers are Quantum-well membrane based continuous-wave solid-state devices. The 544nm, 553nm, 561nm, and 577nm wavelengths are ideal for replacing power hungry and expensive DPSS lasers and are available at various output power level.

The WhisperIT Comet® Solid-State Detectors (SSD) are an ideal replacement to expensive PMTs, offering high QE, high sensitivity, low noise, large dynamic range, and compact space savings.  SSDs can be TE-cooled for ultra-low light sensitivity and feature on-board pre-amplifier customizable to match customer’s channel by channel system requirements.  New enhanced sensitivity red-shift models with high quantum efficiency now available.

The Lapis® line of high-power multi-mode and single-mode laser based optical engines include integrated built-in lasers, customizable beam shaping, and wavelength range specific detectors modules.  Each Lapis® optics box undergoes an extensive manufacturing process to ensure robust beam pointing stability over temperature and humidity ensuring long-life in the field.

PIC WhisperIT BASOE® (Biophotonics Application Specific-Optic Engine) or Optical Plate, Optical Engine, or Optical Decks are designed with single or multiple lasers, with corresponding FCS/SSC and FL detectors for a pre-aligned, drop-in solution.  Each BASE engine is thermally threated to ensure robust stability in the field.
